My yarn smells like dingleberries.

My lovely friend in New Mexico gifted me some weaving yarn for my birthday.
2 skeins from www.handweavers.com/

The colors of the yarn are great and are from natural dyes.

Skein 1: Dk Bacterial Indigo
Skein 2: 2BA Osage Orange over light bacterial Indigo

Love the colors, strongly dislike the dingleberry scent.

I've decided to knit a rug with the yarn. I will be using the "short-row pinwheel" pattern from Barbara Walker's "A Fourth Treasury of Knitting Patterns"

Yay! Finished Project.
These sweaters took two years to finish. Actually, the 1st one took one month and the 2nd two years. The monkey is called Banana Chippy. He's a collectible character in Taiwan like Hello Kitty. I am having trouble finding him in the States.
I took a pic of Banana Chippy and enlarged it, then transferred it to a graph for the intarsia. It was neat to see it work out.
The sweaters are for my cousin's twins. They just turned two in November and are the year of the monkey.

Sweater Base Pattern: Simple Knits for Little Cherubs by Erika Knight (Pattern altered)
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Wool Cotton
Needles: size 3 for ribbing and size 5 for Stockinette

My Mom

My mom owns a ice cream shop in Texas. Behind the store is a small creek and some people might consider it a bayou. She asks the ice cream truckers to deliver the ice cream through the back door. The ice cream is dropped off late late at night so my mom is not there to make sure they follow her instructions and knows in the morning when she sees the floor and her scratched freezers.
One day my mom is at the store when the ICT (Ice Cream Trucker) is making is drop and reminds him of her request.

Mom: Please use the back door when you are delivering the ice cream.
ICT: I do.
Mom: Really? I know you're using the front door because you're scratching my freezers. Pls use the back door.
ICT: It's faster if I deliver through the front door.
Mom: It's the same distance b/c all the ice cream needs to be in the backroom.
ICT: There aren't any lights back there so it's hard to see.
Mom: The moonlight provides enough light or carry a flashlight
ICT: What if an alligator comes out of the water?
Mom: Then run. Pls use the backdoor.
